Acute Concussion Consultation — Virtual Session
This 60-minute assessment session provides you with a choice of 2 out of the 5 systems from the comprehensive package. You choose the systems, or we can discuss together the best systems to assess based on your symptoms and daily challenges. This is beneficial for someone who has hit a plateau in their recovery or is finding it difficult to return to work, sport, or activity.

About Jana Kapp, MScPT
Jana Kapp is a registered physiotherapist with over 10 years of experience in Whistler, British Columbia. She focused on concussion management after sustaining 3 concussions and struggling with post-concussion symptoms for 7 years. She is certified in Concussion Management including Vision and Vestibular Rehabilitation.
Through a combination of her professional expertise and personal healing journey — including the emotional side of concussion recovery — Jana achieved a successful recovery from all three concussions and has been symptom-free since 2018.
She created the Concussion Healing Space to help people understand the emotional side of concussion recovery, and developed the unique Concussion Healing Space Framework to successfully support her private clients.

Why is the first 6 weeks so important?
Research shows that taking an active approach during the acute phase can significantly speed recovery and reduce the risk of developing persistent symptoms. This window is when your brain is most responsive to guided intervention.
Should I rest completely or stay active?
Complete rest is no longer recommended. The evidence now supports an active approach — strategic rest combined with sub-symptom threshold activity. This means light movement and gradual return to activities, guided by how your symptoms respond.
What's included in the Acute Mentorship Package?
The package includes three 30-minute virtual consultations with Jana, access to the Exercise Course for Concussion, and a personalized exercise program tailored to your symptoms and tolerance levels. It's a comprehensive program for the first six weeks.
What if I'm past the 6-week mark?
If your symptoms have persisted beyond 6 weeks, you may benefit more from our Persistent Symptoms resources, which focus on longer-term management strategies and neuroplasticity-based approaches.
Can I do a single consultation instead of the full package?
Yes. We offer individual 60-minute consultations ($150) if you prefer a single session approach. However, the Mentorship Package provides better value and continuity for comprehensive acute-phase support.
